Jumping off into Etherspace

Hi All!
This is a very tentative venture into the bloggers' world. I'm interested in staying connected with friends and others who share my interests through blogging. I'm newly retired and have many still working friends so am thinking that this would be a perfect way to "reach out and touch others"--at their convenience. I see my blog as a vehicle for discussing the shallow and important things of daily life--sharing what currently excites or concerns me--hoping to get feedback from friends and strangers.

If you'd like to "chat me up" just reply to this first salvo--all topics--dogs, movies, politics, books, art, theater, pop culture--of interest. To begin: Who's going to win in the "Survivor Fiji" finale tonight?

    For someone who never turned on her cell phone or needed help unlocking the doors of her new car - You have come along way Baby!!
    Now I know I will have to have a computer when I retire. I don't want to miss the happenings at Summit Musings.

    P.S. I owe someone a Loreena report; but since she had the brilliant idea of setting up a blog in the middle of a HECTIC (note caps) work week, she's just going to have to wait.
