Here's one last barn quilt to close out June and my look at some of eastern Kentucky's colorful quilt decorated barns. This photo was taken from the highway through bare trees and bushes. I pulled off the road after catching the flash of color from a distance. Not sure, but I think the quilt design is called Turkey's Foot. Anyone know for sure?

Wonderful! I like the view through all the branches, and of course a quilt square always makes a barn beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI had nerve heard of these or seen one until I read about them on this meme. I started paying more attention to the old barns and it took me a while but I finally found a new tin barn with two painted on the front. Only ones I've been able to find.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing yours.

ReplyDeleteI like the view through the trees Faye!
ReplyDeleteThe pattern isn't the typical Turkey Foot pattern I know but if Rose comes by she'll probably know for sure if it's a variation.
Colorful quilt painting and do not have an idea of what is this pattern is. Great find!

I like all the vines and branches up close--makes the photo look more rustic. And, I always love barn quilts. I've done a couple of posts on my blog. They're always fun.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like it is a handsome barn, too...of course a quilt square dresses up anything.
