Friday Fences - Grizzle Gate

I spotted this unusual gate to a property on a country road near my home on a drive recently when I was looking for photoworthy fences, barns, and fall foliage.  I googled "Grizzle Gate" thinking it may be some kind of specialty farm, but no luck.  Can only assume that "Grizzle" must be this guy.  Must keep this from Chet or he'll want a Chetgate for our place. . .

Here are a couple more pics of the typical black Kentucky farm fencing.  Look closely and you'll see some wire fences attached to the wood--makes me think some kind of animals must be kept here.  All and all, a great mystery!

  1. Love the Grizzle Gate! Quite a little tribute to Grizzle.
You certainly had a beautiful day to be out. That sky is lovely!
I'm guessing whatever is behind the fence is small enough to crawl through - hence the wire. :)
    Lovely shots Faye!

  14. Hi Faye, Love the Grizzle Gate... Cute!!!!

Not too much color left here now. We cleaned the leaves out of the yard again this week. Will probably have to do it one more time in a couple of weeks...

    Hugs,

  15. That is a rather unusual gate. It must be his name. Even though we have it everywhere, I still love the black plank fences!

  16. Grizzle Gate is very unique to say the least! If only the owner knew that he/she was blog worthy! I absolutely love the colors of the trees, blue skies and green grasses in your last group of photos. Great job Faye!

  18. Most vinyl privacy fences are about six feet tall, but there are many varieties of fencing available. If you want to make your outdoor area more secluded, or want to block out a harsh view, getting a vinyl privacy fence might be the best solution.
