Waiting for Spring

~ click on collage to enlarge ~

Are you looking for signs of spring this weekend?  If so, here's some encouragement.  All these photos were taken in my neighborhood between March 9-22, 2012.  So, while the only thing going on now is the tree canopies are "softening" and crocus and dafs are budding, soon there'll be a repeat of this colorful show.

Meanwhile, here's one way to celebrate sunshine and temps in the mid-60s:

Oh, and not ten minutes ago I heard a lawn mower running.  That's a sign of spring that I could do without!

  2. Yes, I am waiting for spring. It seemed a little more like it today as it rained but the ground is still covered with snow.:0(

  3. Oh yes - I want spring to come so badly. The flowers are so pretty in you pictures. We have a neighbor up through the trees who mows his lawn almost every night in the summer. I don't know if has a huge yard or just like really short grass. Fortunately he is far enough away and there are enough trees that the sound is muffled. And three days ago I heard his mower going- and again yesterday - guess mowing season has begun for him. We really need to take a drive up that way and see just how big his yard is.

  4. Our azaleas are in full bloom and the dogwoods are starting to blossom as well. I just hope we don't get a hard freeze to kill it all like we have the last few years.

Chet obviously knows how to enjoy a bit of sun!

  7. Those are gorgeous blooms! It got cold on us again, but it shouldn't last too much longer.
