Wild Bird Wednesday - Fluff Dry Cycle

A Kentucky Cardinal drying out after a really heavy rain storm.  Could just as easily title this post "angry bird" , based on his look. :-)

Bonus photo: not a very good one, but just happened to catch this sweet couple sitting on my neighbor's fence.

  6. Great photos. I'd love any chance to photograph a cardinal - we don't have them out here on the west coast. I got one quick shot of one in Wisconsin last summer on vacation - he was sitting on a fence and flitted off right after I took the picture and that was the only one we saw the whole time.

  7. I'll repeat - perfect title and angry bird fits the last one by the looks on the Mrs. face. :)
There they sit like an old married couple - so sweet.

  8. Sadly, I haven't seen any cardinals since the feeders came down. Wonderful shots!

  9. So nice to get both of the pair in one frame. Although they nest nearby, they do not come to our neighbor's black oil sunflower seed feeder (we are on the lake and cannot put one up because of the ducks-- it is illegal to feed them and they break up the feeders anyway).
