As mentioned in previous posts, I've had a chance to visit some wonderful public and private gardens in several countries. Fortunately, most gardeners are also great dog fanciers, so here's five of my favorite dogs and their gardens:
1. Guarding Villa Gamberaia Gardens Florence, Italy
2. "Violet" at Lakemount Gardens Glanmire, Ireland
3. Alsace-Lorraine Barge Dogs Savernne, France
4. Hortensia House Gardens Yorkie Blenheim, New Zealand
5. Alessandro! Doggone Handsome Garden Designer Tuscany
Well, that was easy. Hope you enjoyed this little dogs around the world tour. Now head over to Nekked Lizards to check out all the other Fun Monday Double Nickels.
(Hint: if, for example, you want to get a close up look at Alessandro to decide for yourself just how handsome he is, just click on the photos to enlarge.)

I did not find an e-mail address. But, I wanted to tell you briefly about the Reflections picture. The picture was taken in Louisville. I believe at Catherine Spalding College.
Ahhh, Dog Gardens! I think the first statue would be wonderful in my backyard :D Garden designers shouldn't be so handsome...
That was wonderful - you put a different twist to it.
If I was a canine I would just say woof.
But since I'm not I'll say wooo hooo and why didn't you invite me.
Well- I'll be satisfied with the pictures for now.
Hi - me again. The weeping tree in my picture is a weeping crabapple.
Lovely gardens - so you tour around the world visiting beautiful gardens. When we going to see the Summit garden?
beautiful garden pics...you are right, he is very handsome!!
Ah, a traveling gal. Beautiful pics! And thanks for coming by to see my pics. *I* am the graduate! Got my bachelors last Spring! :)
OK, yep, he is definitely passable!
I like how you did this! Very creative!
RYC: In the "Eighteen" picture, I'm sitting on a mountain in North Wales. I was visiting my grandmother and the mountain rises up behind her house. And the cop? That was taken nearly 20 years ago!
Oh wow.....I have ancestors born in Alsace-Lorraine!!!!
MINE'S POSTED --- and the last one #5 is a five word challenge for YOU!!! A fun challenge!!!! Hope you can stop by and try it today sometime.
What wonderfull places and love your twist, also.
Yes, Faye. My monkeys have pulled that a time or 2 and I have had to go up and get them. LOL!
I so want to visit gardens like this. Loved the photos, and I'd love to have the French bull dog in photo #3.
As for my moonshine connections... if pressed I could find some. Hubby bought some a couple of years ago to try, took a slug off of it while he was mowing in 90 degree weather and proceeded to run the lawn mower into the outbuilding.
Great pictures! How I would love to visit Ireland.

Hi All--I'm afraid this post has left the impression that I'm a real gadabout. It is true that before I retired I did have a constant itch to travel and see as many gardens and dogs as possible. Now, for a variety of reasons, I don't travel quite so ambitiously. Instead, I look at 15years of photograph albums and journals and I can almost be in another country. Sadly, I too have to embiggen Alissandro to remember how handsome he was!
Alessandro is HAWT. Totally.
What an interesting collection of photos - and you did a GREAT job on the titles!
thanks for the tour!!!
Nice photos.
Very clever that last one. I must agree with you, and did a closer look. I love that you did a theme and it is cool to see far off lands.
Wow thank you for that little trip around the world! I just love gardens so this was a great place for me to visit!
I love the picture of the barge dogs. Thanks for the travelogue.
