Friday Christmas Fences
This month I've been looking for fences that say "Merry Christmas!" Norton Commons is a new upscale community that I'm in every week for a pilates class. The houses are well-landscaped and tastefully decorated, so I was not surprised to see the fence at the entrance decorated with traditional evergreen swags and red bows. Personally, I think it's hard to beat this look for Christmas.
On the community square in Norton Commons this Christmas tree sales lot had been operating since just after Thanksgiving. Last week fence rows of evergreens were lined up so that shoppers could walk up and down, choosing the perfect Christmas tree. From the looks of today's lineup, business has been good at the little red-doored Santa hut.
I live in historic Middletown. In contrast-but no less festive-our Christmas tree lot is set up by the Marathon gas station on a very busy commercial street. The trees are behind wire fences and the sales are made from a little shed. At night everything is lit up with multi-colored twinkling Christmas lights.
It would be hard to resist the old-fashioned advertising "SNOWFRESH CHRISTMAS TREES"!
If you're not around for the December 23rd Friday Fences, I'll just wish you an early "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year".

Last week you were hanging on to summer and now you have gone straight into Christmas! (somehow, I missed you last time around?)
That decorated fence into the housing estate is a nice welcome home.
These are just gorgeous, I love the Christmas theme around your neighbourhood.
i like that little red-door santa hut! :) i'll be here next week too!
I really like that top fence... love the stones! =)
Love the greens on the fence. I'm with you Faye...you just can't beat the simple green swags n red bows! My fave way to decorate. Just cannot get into decorating with lime green n aqua for Christmas!
I like the top fence too - there's something so special about green garlands and red bows!
That is really a nice area in which to live....and the fence decorations fit in beautifully. They are definitely in the Christmas spirit. Such pretty shots. Hope you have a weekend filed with lots of good old picture taking. genie
Faye...Here is the link to 9 of the wreaths. I am STILL making them. Think I am up to 15 now. It has been fun, but a killer on my fingers. The pinking shears are probably as old as I am and that is OLD! genie

Lucky you having such a richly photogenic environment to capture. It all looks far more like Christmas than over here.
Swagging green garlands always look so special at Christmas. I love the stone fence.
Merry Christmas to you and your, Faye.
I love how you incorporated Christmas in with the Fence theme this week. I am a huge fan of the fresh evergreen garland and red bow deco on just about anything.
You have a wonderful Christmas too Faye!
