This month I'm featuring fences of Ireland like this wonderful red picket--and bonus thatched roof cottage in County Clare. This photo was taken by my late friend Lydia Wells on her '09 trip to the Emerald Isle.
For more fences from all over go to Life According to Jan and Jer for a list of players.

I love it!
Your photo's are beautiful, love this cottage and fence. Love all cottages. I am going to follow you.
We watched Immortal Beloved last night -- marvelous movie about Beethoven -- and saw many old homes with thatched roofs that I think are just amazing.
Love this photo and feel sad about your friend for some reason that she is no longer able to view such sights. But such is life. Thanks so much for sharing. :)
Oh, the red picket fence and the thatched rooms are beautiful.
Thanks for stopping by my post. The ramp is a loading shoot used to load or unload animals from the barn.
What a quaint building...and love the red fence!
Thatched roof and red fence--both lovely!
Fence Song
What a great fence, and I love its color! I have a soft spot for Ireland, too. :-) Thanks for your comment on my copper fence!
I know it was a fence shot, but I want to live in that house!! Seriously, after visiting Ireland I'm pretty sure that I will retire in a cottage somewhere. (okay, I have a few decades before that, but no harm in planning ahead!)
