At the holiday town of Glengarriff we boarded a ferry in the harbor for a short trip across the bay:
A bonus for the trip--a seal colony on one of the small islands in Bantry Bay. Did you know that seals actually bark?
Another view of Garinish Island:
This is the Italianate garden at Ilnacullin with its graceful reflecting pool:
Come back on Friday and I'll show you some fabulous flower-covered fences/walls in gardens at Ilnacullin.

I am surprised at how much I like the reflecting pool! Not my usual choice at all!
The beauty of this place just takes my breath away! Great pictures Faye!
Beautiful, beautiful and MORE beautiful!! Loved these images. :::sigh::: wishing I was there.
Happy St. Patty's day to you too.
I really hope I get to visit Ireland one day!
Beautiful photos and excellent and nice place. Greetings.
Thanks for taking us on your ferry trip across the bay. Your picture of the garden is gorgeous. I'll be back to see more.
Lovely shots, Faye. It is so green in Ireland isn't it. No wonder they call i the Emerald Isle!

Thanks for coming by ~
These photos look like they could be postcards! Nothing like it around these parts. How neat that you came across a seal colony!
We prayed last night over our Watr project. There are some people who think we should take care of our own back yard before we go to some foreign country.
Ann-in these modern times our back yard is much larger than we realize. That's why your work is important.
What a beautiful place! Great shots.
Oh, you had an awesome visit to Ireland! I would love to go back an see the whole country in-depth. On our ten day tour we hit the highlights and it was great but it really whetted my appetite! These are beautiful photographs.
