Friday Fences - Memory Garden

An ornate wrought iron fence surrounds a small, intimate garden planted in memory of members of the Louisville Women's Club for their work on behalf of the community. This memory garden was featured on the recent Old Louisville Garden Tour.

In a carriage house attached to the garden, the Club runs Carriage Trade where fine home furnishing, jewelry, and clothing can be purchased. Proceeds of the sales are used for annual projects. The red fleur de lis napkin weight and three Star of David vases caught my eye. As did the cast iron dog profile over the carriage house door!

How nice to have a memorial for good things people have done. It is nice to have memorials for people who have passed on, but for those still here, it is even more special - and beautiful.

maybe its cause i'm a bit colour-blind but I can't read your text against that background - you should consider changing the background or using a different colour for the text. Love the photos though.

Commenters - the posting troubles continue with blue text on brown background. I am beginning to think my template is corrupted because the text looks fine to me. If you encounter problems with reading this post, I'd love to know. The Geek Squad is making a house call on Monday and I'm saving your comments to help us figure out what's going wrong. Thanks for your patience. I get very frustrated when trying to comment on others' blogs and can't do it.

Hi Faye, I read your request on FB.... You need to change your words to a very light color--such as WHITE--or light tan... With the dark brown background, it's hard to read the words that are in Navy Blue...

I use dark backgrounds and light text on my blog and it works well... If you need to know how to change the color, email me at betsyadams@mac.com....

Think that minor change will take care of your problem. Hope so.
Hugs,
Betsy
